Thanks. It woulf been nice if my co-worker would of showed up like he
promised. Paybacks are a bitch. Wait til he finds out that he will be
working for ME Jan 1 2000! LOL!!
>What does .040 over work out to be for displacement?
1825cc. :)

You could have the entire block blueprinted if you want to. ($$$$$$)
If you just want what I was after (long life, peroformance under the SCCA
DSP guide lines.) then heres what I had done:
Block bored out .40 over. (82mm pistons in my case.)
block hot tanked
new brass freeze plugs installed
new intermediate shaft bearings installed
crank balanced
crank micro polished
rods balanced
rods resized
New rod bolts installed
flywheel/pressure plate balanced
pistons balanced
Price, $303.64.
My only problem is it took them 5 weeks to get it finished when he told
me id have it in 3 days. Even then, I had to stand there while the guy
balanced the crank and flywheel.
>Who did the machine work?
Ricks Machine. (Right next door to my work.)
>What was balanced, the rods, crank, etc..
He puts it on a machine and spins it up. Just like tire's. The machine
stops and he has 3 read outs which tells him where to take material out.
He grinds away and spins again. The flywheel was interesting. He spun it
and the machine told him it was out 3.45 grams. He takes it to the drill
press, BANG BANG punched 2 holes in it. Says, That ought to be pretty
close. Puts it back on the machine and it registers zero's all across the
readouts. Pretty impressive!
>Considering how cheap the bearings are, I can't justify re-using the

I agree. Its just good insurance to have new bearings.
>What kind of rod and main cap bolts did you use?
Stock.
>I was going to have the rods balanced while this is being done,

If your gonna do it, do it all!
>What pistons did you get?
82mm Perfect stock german pistons with stock rings.
(THANK'S VIRTUAL WORLD PARTS!!)
For your 2.0L you could go 83.5mm and have some good displacement!
