Well, this was a while ago, but i finally found the answer. The heat 
shield on the exhasut manifold was loose, but not noticeably so 
until the engine was reved up to 3K, so now all i have to do is 
tighten the bolts that hold it in(yeah right, those are the most 
rusted pair of bolts i have ever seen) But at least i don't have to 
worry any more about determintal things happening to the engine 
with cam chains and all those other possibilities that were 
mentioned.
