Heidelberg V radio & Security

  i just found out tonite that my heidelberg radio has an anti-theft
feature (i've only had it a week). i found all the information on how to
(de-)code it but i have a question: am i going to have to contact vw for
the code or can i put in any code that i want? anyone help?
