tranny/cv problem?

i just swapped in an AGB tranny into my car last night, put in a new
clutch and put in a set of rebuilt axles

after driving it around the parkin lot, (all gears shifted fine) the
passenger side wheel locked up and wont budge now.....when jacked up the
passenger side wheel will spin freely, but the driver side will not...
i'm still able to disengage the clutch and shift gears (which i'm assuming
i wouldnt be able to do if the tranny locked up, or am i making a wrong
assumption?)....i was too frustrated to try and take the drivers side axle
out and see if it was defective.......does this even seem a
possibility?....i have snapped several cv's in the past, and know that the
differential will continute to spin, but just not move the car.......the
car seems like it wants to drive, but the driver side wheel is completely
frozen........

any ideas?....
