"clunk" when i turn crank steering wheel left... wtf?

hey all,
this is an addendum to my last post... i just wanted to clarify when this
noise occurs..
when i crank the steering wheel left all nearly all the way, i hear this
"clunk". when i turn it back, nothing. then cluck again when i turn it back
hard left. what's going on?? (there's no noise if i crank it back the other
direction - hard right..)
