trans mount

anyone that has changed your side trans mount with the motor in the car---
how the hell did you get the front bolt out of the mount.  It hits on the
frame rail and sheet metal below it.  Its got about 1/2" left to go out
and i cant get it any farther.  DO i have to slide the whole engine
over or start hacking on the sheet metal to get this out or is there a
better way?
