Of course you can do this. There are brackets you can buy for the
remote tank (Potterman?).

My 1982 Scirocco (MK2) does not have the remote - I plan to upgrade to
the later style when I put a bigger motor in.

I would like to do this to my 1981 Scirocco too - when I put the nice
motor in . . .
