[OT]Help!!! Problems with the Dealer

The A/C was not working 

MY gal had the A/C on her 87 325 inspected by the dealer to find the
source of the problem

after inspection they quoted her $1000 to fix the line leak and condensor

got a second opinion and the quote was still $1000 but this guy said that
the line leak can be fixed without changing the condensor. He also
pointed out that the compressor is faulty and needs to be changed.

we decided to go with the dealer after all they are BMW certified mech.
and we had great experience with them before

$1000 and a day later... the compressor broke down BIG TIME...  rattling
and shit....

called the dealer and told them about the problem. 

they said that it was not their fault and refused to entertain us.

I think that it was their negligence for not diagnosing the problem
properly...

I felt that they should at least fix the problem for free or refund us for
the repair...  am I being reasonable????

I am thinking of going to the small claims court or Better Business
Bureau?

What do you guys think my discourse should be?
