Quattro Scirocco!??

While I up at the Maine Forest Pro Rally, I had occasion to chat
with a fellow from VT who mentioned that a VW Scirocco with
quattro power and about 400bhp had finished 2nd overall behind
Frank Sprongl.  I kindof laughed at this.

Well I just got home and low and behold hillclimb.org AND the latest
grassroots motorsports both sort-of confirm this!
Dan Rutan of CT with an Audi powered VW Scirocco.

looks like a scirocco to me!

Anyone have any more info on this?  Sounds cool as hell!
