Vague though this is; there are two major types of compressors- the big
a$$ funky one I've only ever had and the later type which is smaller and
more efficient to boot. Go for the later of course.
I'd think you'd want to replace the evaporator just for grins, over all
it sounds like a plan , esp. for $50.
