i run 205-50-15's on my 88 16v with american bumpers and HOR springs with 
BOGE progas shocks and i have no problems with rubbing or taking potholes in 
Maine i just changed from 195-50-15's  and my ride is a bit softer now but i 
have been happy with my suspension for about a year now and it still sits 
where it did when i installed it BTW i have no AC
