How about some solvent type cleaner, not for the seats but to prep prior
to painting.

On the seat issue, I picked up a twin pack from Woolite. One bottle is
for Protean & Liquid and the other is for Oil & Grease.  I'll be using
it tomorrow so if it's good I'll let ya know.
