I haven't used them myself, but I seem to recall on our FSAE car that the
3 piece rims we used required some sort of sealant placed on the joint
between the 2 outer rim halves. This was something like silicon gel, and it
seemed to keep the wheels from leaking, which they otherwise did very rapidly.
