Yes it will you need one for a a2 golf 16 v or 8v . . it will fit it just
needs to be angled a bit and welded at a shop . . and you should be fine. . 
It sounds real nice. . 
If you don't mind ordering it Carnuts in Belvue washington has a few. . well
they did I haven't been there in a while. . .
