I dunno if you tried this, but it sounds like a CV joint to me. I had
similar symptoms and thats what it turned out to be. I just bought a set of
reconditioned lifetime warranty axles for 200 bux and it fixed it right up.
I never have to mess with CV boots or joints ever again either!
