That would be great. As I believe I've mentioned before here, WAIS is the
way to go. Compare the Corrado list archive(using Glimpse- a UNIX search
utility) with the Search engine for the DIY_EFI site(using WAIS). The
DIY_EFI site has just about as good a search engine as I could envision. I
have even written simple Perl programs to search large archives. But
they're just not fast enough, without doing a lot of data manipulation.
This is where WAIS is useful, as it can handle indexing the archives to
make them accessible quickly. Unfortunately, I don't have a Unix box on a
direct connection either.
