How do you torque a ti head bolt? I've got a bit of experience with ti
fasteners for other applications, and they stretch - a LOT, at least a
3/2.5 cold rolled thread bolt, mostly smaller, but even so.... Curious. >>
good point this is something i already brought up to the people manufacturing
the bolts. the titanium is strain hardened for just this point much like 318L
stainless strain hardened i am just learning the characteristics of titanium
myself a learn curve if you will . knowing about metals already im assuming
this will be much the same just a bit lighter. the titanium stud bolts are
already in use and have not stretched at all so far. used on a club rabbit
car here locally .
