I got with my totally stock MK2 8v 84 a bit over the 125 mph (200km/h).

It has got no sport exhaust, no K&N filters, stock suspension, nothing.

But my frient took his stock 16v and hit the 144 mph (230km/h) mark with no
problem :( :) ( <- depends on viewpoint ).
