[tech][non-rocco] A2 tranny swap

Has anyone here every put an A1 four speed into an A2?  Can it be done?  

I know I'll have to change it to 100mm drive flanges and put the A2 mount
brackets on it, but is the linkage the same?

Please, no "now why the hell would you want to do that" posts.
