Placing the engine/tranny on a small stand (small wheels is nice
but nice arm muscles or a friend is working to), best is about
20-25 cm over ground, and lift up car with a jack and a piece of
wood under the firewall. Roll/drag motor under in place and
start lower car. You will have to adjust motor some times during
lowering of car but this way you CAN do it yourself if you have
problems finding helping friends. Time to get motor in the car
should be less than two hours, then some hours for exhaust,
water plumbing, electrical etc.
This way is much simplier than lifting the motor up.
