OTOH, a friend had a set on his 2002, they did'nt crack. ST makes springs
for virtually everything, I'd not worry too much about them breaking -
every company has things fail, and with the sheer number of springs they
make, they're more "likely" to have some failures. I've not heard of many
ST springs cracking, either. I have heard bad things about Spax - lots of
people have had problems with those, Tokico had a high failure rate a while
back, EIP has had some bad things said about them, etc - onesy twosy
failures, eh, bad things happen. When the NG/lists fill up with horror
stories about company X, well, maybe then it is time to look elsewhere(with
a grain of salt, of course).
My front Neuspeed swaybar broke an endlink - the heim joint sheared off
when I tried to adjust it(I'm not _that_ strong!). I don't think this is a
common occurence, so I don't bother telling anyone about it. The A3 Nspeed
bars seem to break endlinks a lot, however. We all know about Autotech's
brackets. Some things are known to break, others are not - I don't
personally put ST springs in the "breaks-a-lot" category. FWIW!
