Hey Chris,

the reason for the rake is that the stock
suspension sits that way normally, and most aftermarket
manufacturers don't take that into account.  They develop
their springs to perform, not to level out the VW.

I, personally wouldn't cut any springs as they are not
designed with that in mind.  Especially progressive springs
as their spring rate is directly related to travel distance.
I have seen several racers out there cut race springs, I assume
for a lower center of gravity.
I imagine performance suffers.
How about it racers?
