wheel hop under hard acceleration

hey all, when i'm racing, i often have a problem keeping the front
wheels from bouncing when i take off from a standing start.  any
suggestions as to why this happens, and what i can do to solve the
problem?  my ball joints, and tierod ends all seem to be in good order. 
my whole front end is a mess right now (unaligned), but i've had this
problem for some time.
