[event, OH] VW 'Road' Rallye

NOTE:  This is not an OFF road, high speed event.  ALL VW's can
participate without fear of hurting your vehicle (unless you do
something stupid).  Actually it is open to ANY safe vehicle period.

The Akron Sports Car Club cordially invites G.A.S.S (German Air
Suckers Society) & Club H20-- & ALL VW's & Porsches to participate in:
 
 The 29th Annual "Linus's Pumpkin Patch Rallye"
 
 When:   Saturday October 24th, 1998        
         (Rain or Shine)
 
 Where:  Rallye will begin and end at the V.F.W. Northfield Post 6768
         8484/8584 Olde 8 Road
         Northfield Center, OH  44067
 
 Times:  Registration opens at 5:00 PM
         First Car (or Bus) off at 6:30 PM
 
 Cost:   $8.00 Pre-Regisration, $10.00 day of event.
 
 Vehicles:  ANY safe Volkswagen or Porsche will do!!!
            Drivers must be 18 years or older
            Don't forget to have a navigator
 
 What to bring:  Flashlight
                 Clipboard & Pen
                 *Covered Dish for Pot Luck after event (optional)
 
 This will be a fun rallye with easy directions and questions to answer
 along the way.  The rallye takes place on public roads in accordance
 with traffic laws.  This is NOT a European OFF ROAD, high speed type
 of rallye.  Again, ANY safe vehicle is welcome.
 
 This rallye has a Halloween theme, there will be out of the vehicle
 scavenging-- so bring a flashlight (to possibly read tombstones)!
 BONUS:  Bonus points will be awarded to those individuals who run the
 rallye in a Halloween costume.
 
 At the end of the event-- a party / pot luck gathering will take
 place. Bring a covered dish (or food) if you wish to join the
 party afterwards.
