[87 16V] Tool for coolant hose clamps?

Hello,
	I blew another coolant hose and I was wondering if I need any
special tool to open the hose clamps.
Any makeshift tool ideas? These are the original clamps from the factory
and I have not figured out the best way to open them. I will replace
them with the screw on clamps.
