Somebody shoot me! (transmission problems)

Well, maybe I waited too long to do my annual (yes, annual... I'm paranoid
about it) gear-lube drain and refill because the tranny apparently decided
to do it all by itself... at least the draining part. Upon further
inspection, I discovered my clutch and flywheel taking a serious bath in
gear oil which means the transmission has definitely got to come out! If
I'm "lucky" it's only the input shaft or clutch pushrod seal. Otherwise,
the transmission is probably trashed, which would also indicate that my last
rebuild was only good for only about 2 1/2 years of abuse.
So, if anyone in the Seattle area has a recommendation for where to get a
good rebuild (good price with competent and decent people) or used 16V
gearbox, I'm all ears.
I'm not in much of a position right now to spend boat loads of money (I have
a motorcycle [CBR1100XX] to pay for), so there's a chance I may go with a
rebuilt or used tranny, leaving my ailing transmission available for
parts -- the part of special interest being the Quaife differential that's
in it, of course.
Basically, if there is indeed a nasty problem with this transmission, I'd be
delighted to trade it (or make some other kind of deal) for a solid used 16V
gearbox.

Hmmm... could this be karmic retribution for terrorizing the neighborhood
with the Ultra-Flo muffler (very loud when you have no cat) during the past
week?
