Joe, have you ever been to a VeeDub show? I have been to _many_, and I
have never gotten the impression that VeeDubs look the same.
The Fuba antenna is an old standby with the sporting VW crowd. Look at
Audi and Porsche, and you will find the same thing. It's just a "German"
thing, I guess. But, for the sake of a technical argument here, the Fuba
has outperformed any antenna I have ever used - probably owing to the
little amplifier in the base.
I'm usually the odd one out at the shows, because I never use body kits or
anything like that. The extent of my car's bodywork was the roof mount
antenna and a very high quality silver pearl paint job. Not even a 16v
body kit. That makes my car very unique among the "hot rod" pack, and I
get a surprising number of inquiries about what's under the hood. It
makes people curious.
Go to a mass showing of Honda vehicles, and I believe you will finda much
narrower berth of individuality.
Cheers,
