bumper

welcome to alan's world of cheap and free mods. i saw an earlier post on
shortening  the stock us bumpers by drilling holes in the bumper shocks. i got
into it and realized the mk II's didn't have these shocks... shit!!! i'm
already here why not try something else? ok so i thought about it. it ook the
plastic cover off, and then removed the metal bumper and the top plastic cover
exposing the bumper mounts. i took to the pnematic cutting wheel and cut about
an 1 1/2" off of th mounts and re drilled the holes. then i put it all back
together and it fits perfectly. now the bumper sits about    1 1/2" from the
front where it originaly was.. it looks pretty cool, it was free, and it only
took abput an hour. :)
