armor door plates

I was thinking of getting a set of armor door plates for my 86 
Scirocco, (my GLI has been broken i to once before this way) and i 
was wondering if anyone knows where the cheapest place to buy a 
set would be. I have seen them for as low as 50 bucks. is that as 
low as they go?
