Alternator mounting

Hi everyone.....I removed the AC from my 78 rocco and now I'm having trouble
trying to figure out a way to re-mount the alternator.  It originally mounted
to the compressor bracket.  Any ideas?  This is probably a simple thing to do,
but I can't visualize it.  I'm not all that familiar with older VW's.  Thanks
