[electrical} radio noise

Anyone have a clue as to why an RPM-related hum would show up in my radio
one morning, not having been there when I parked it the night before?  The
volume of the hum seems to be independent of the volume control (not really
loud), and is present no matter what the source (AM, FM, tape).

If it matters, I have a cheap-ass Audiovox "Rampage" (I know; just let it
go, o.k.?) head unit and four Pioneer 4x6s in the factory holes using the
factory wiring.  It's all been installed for about 6 months, and this is the
first such noise it's made.  Oh, yeah; it sprinkled a little the night it
happened, but the car's been through much worse without ill effect to the
electricals.
