Well, it'd be worth $50.  I suppose that in terms of sheer numbers, it is a
somewhat rare bird.  I believe the coupe version of the Quantum/Passat was
only offered in the States over the first two years or so, meaning '82 or
'83... A guy down the street from me here in California has one,  a Diesel!
To the furthest extent of my VW knowledge, the 5-banger was only offered in
the 4-door Quantum sedan and wagon.
Yeah, if you squint, or are drunk, the hatchback Quantum looks like an
inflated Mk2 Scirocco.  Mechanically, though, think Audi 4000 and that's
what you've got.  The 4-door hatch version was never sold here in the
states, and they were all built in either Salzgitter or Hannover, Germany,
not Spain, although the 4-door sedan "Santana" was built in the Chinese VW
factory for Asian markets.  The first "real" car made in China!
IMHO, the coolest version (which never was built) would be a 2-door
hatchback, with Syncro 4wd, and turbo 5-cylinder.  A rally monster!
