Trip Computer Problem

I own an 87 16v and I have a very perplexing problem with it. The trip
computer (the screen in the middle of the console with the
clock/oiltemp/airtemp etc.) has stopped responding to the selector on
the end of windshield wiper control stick. The clock has also stopped at
10:45. I tried to reset the clock with the little pin buttons below but
it didn't respond... Suggestions?
