power mirrors

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I just got
a '85 scirocco and found that there is a problem with the power mirrors.
The switch on the driver side (the only switch) works only with the driver
side mirror. The driver side mirror will move with the motor, but is very
slow, and doesn't sound good, and the passenger side mirror does nothing at
all. Could this be something simple, or any ideas? I'd appreciate any help.
