yeah, i thought that to, but i passed the Bentley's troubleshooting step
for the vaccum assist booster.  pump the pedal a couple of times before
starting car.  hold pedal down while starting.  when car starts, pedal
will fall slightly due to vaccum assist kicking in.  mine did it, so i
determined the booster was ok.
