Shawn I just got back from Germany and I saw the Wolfsburg
Car Collection. *** There are no Scirocco toys for sale in Wolfsburg.***
The collection had a blue, like yours, 2 motor Scirocco and this car was
not as clean
as your car. (I have pics) Your car would look great next to this thing. I
gota think it would be faster
than yours. My point is your car may not be a show car but it still is
quite nice looking.
And just looks does not mean everything. Yours is a Motorsport car.
The only other Scirocco II at Wolfsburg looked
kinda like Ken's car. The interior was just like Ken's. His is quite the
nice show car.
At the OC show a kid came up to me and asked me why the yellow MK I 2.0
was
junked all up??? I told him that it was a show car and If he liked stock
cars
don't come to the shows. He did like my more stock looking car.
I think my car was the last place car at the Auto Tech show.
I told the judges to spend more time on the others, mine is under
construction.
People tell me my car looks great for an old D-driver.
The show was still fun for me.
I would like to show my video of the Wolfsburg car collection to the S.D.
Volks.
And I would like to thank Durk and Tina for all great times we had in
Germany!
OK back to the topic. San Diego's best IMHO

The yellow MK1 gets Best MK1 bondo and paint job with a trick motor! :

1) Well, Ken :) just because they were chosen in a car show over mine
DOES NOT mean they were indeed the best looking.
2) Daddy has the right to be very biased when it comes to his baby.
3) For a car that gets driven/raced HARD on a daily basis, id hafta say
its damn fine looking for what it is and how it gets used.
4) For the amount of money I have in it...... she's FINE! Unlike they
yellow MK-I 16V NOS with its fresh paint job because he "felt like
it...." Your Scirocco looks really good but its somewhat dated. Still
wins shows tho..... The white with yellow racing stripe MK-II 16V that
won the Autotech show gets money tossed at it all day long.... So for me,
with NO budget, I have got alot of car there who can spank some ass and
its got what's considered a "stock engine". Hmm. OK.
So, for a "non-showcar" car, its definitely The Fastest, Quickest,
Cleanest and
best looking Scirocco in all of San Diego! Bottom line is, its NOT a
showcar and I think I probably finished near the bottom of the Velocity
show as well as the Autotech show. Doesn't bother me any.
(So what im really saying is, it Doesn't matter what anybody else thinks
about my car. Its my car, that's my opinion. deal. Im NOT changing my
sig. Haha!!)
And like I told you before, the sig was made long-long ago to try and get
local Scirocco drivers to come out and autox. "Make me change my sig". I
welcome the competition, happily! I know there has GOT to be more
Scirocco owners here locally who have got some trick cars. I WANNA SEE
THEM! I wanna race with them. I met a gut with a 2.0L 8V at the Velocity
show who is from San Diego. He was very cool and has got a nice car. I've
never seen him before yet he's been here all this time. Im always in
search of other Scirocco owner enthusiasts.
Is it the best looking? Probably not. Is it the quickest?? probably not.
Is it the fastest... unknown. Im sure its not but i've yet to see one
that IS. There are a few 2.0L -2.1L 16V's and 8V's running around but
i've yet to see one.
