I can say from 1st hand experience that the G is a different cam from the
stock 1.6. I have the 1.6 engine in my car still, and I am using a G-grind
cam. If everything is working right, and it isn't very often these days, I
can rev smoothly to7000+ RPM with the G-grind. Whereas with the stock 1.6
cam the engine would start to get wheezy (and where was George or Mr.
Bentley?) after 6k. I had the Autotech tri-y and TT exhaust before I got
the cam, and it took the cam to really wake up my car.
Hope that made sense, it's far too early on a saturday morning for me.
