While I was digging through my Scirocco 'stuff' trying to find a picture of
this elisive spoiler (no luck yet, sorry.. I'll keep looking),  I came
across the literature for the 1976 Scirocco.  

Engine 1588CC   71hp@5600rpm

Top Speed.........................   102 mph (100 automatic)
Acceleration 0 to 50 mph....    7.5 sec (9.0 sec automatic)
Fuel consumption..............     39 mpg -highway
                                             25 mpg - city
