Rear suspension

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what to do, I want/need new rear coil springs (old
ones are busted, piece of one cracked off during brake repair), but the
Scirocco ones cost too much.  So I was wondering if anybody knew, if I could
get 'em off another VW.  
  Ex. '86 Golf (in my neighbourhood, parting out)
Any help appreaciated, right thanks
