Stephen Stalcup's alternator problems

I don't understand why some list members are jumping on Stephen's situation.  Maybe if people offered some constructive advice instead of saying stuff like "but then again, i know there are
two types of people....  those who refuse to let anyone touch their car
and those who refuse to get dirty" he might be more interested in giving it a try.  

Back off and cut him a break!
