Alarm wiring questions

After having found some little kid messing with my car, have just bought an
alarm and am hoping to fit it myself.
I haven't done this before, so I have a few short questions to ask.

Where abouts do I connect to the indicator lights?
Where is the best point to take the power from and ground to?
Could I connect it to the power leads for the radio, or is there something I
should be aware of here?

Any other info I should know about?
