    Yes, brighter wattage bulbs are available.  Relays are also
recommended.  But, if you want to really increase your sight at night I
recommend getting some Euro type lights, whether it be the quad round
conversion of the Euro A2 lights.  I have some friends who bought brighter
9004 bulbs for their non Euro lights and they did indeed suceed in putting
a little more light on the road, but the pattern made by the lense made
the glare to oncoming drivers that much more worse.  I dont mind the
increased glare cuz if it is too bright I will let them know, with 480
watts  =)  

    First see what voltage you are getting the light and then perhaps just
put a temp wire from the battery into one of the lights and see the
difference.  If it is much better than before, slap in some relays.  If it
makes hardly any difference, get some brighter bulbs.  HTH...
