Coloured bodykit questions

My car is Jade Green with black bumpers and black bodykit.
Does anyone know of a picture of a jade scirocco with body coloured bumberes
and body kit?

I am thinking about painting mine. Is there anythingI should be aware of?
Will it look stupid? Jade isn't the best colour.
How do I prepare the plastic to take the paint?
Can decent results be achieved with paint spray cans?
Has anyone painted these before?
