octane?

87 octane (ron+mon) this is only a guess. Your motor is 8.5:1 compression
- you should not need higher octane - unless you have carbon buildup in
the combustion chamber . . . or radical timing advance.

The sticker inside the fuel filler cap will tell you the octane, but it's
not the same method as used to rate octane in the U.S.

My 1987 Golf GT (10:1, Knock sensor) can use 87 octane.
