I saw an early A2 GTI do this.

When the GTI was first out (1985-1986), one guy tried to follow me (in my
1981S with sways/bilsteins/ATS 14X6 w/ 195/60 rubber) around an exit
ramp. I saw him lift the inside rear wheel in my rear view mirror :)

Suddenly, the distance between my car and his increased dramatically :-)
