2H is, in my humble opinion, an excellent transmission for acceleration, and is
lots of fun around town. On the highway, it sucks of course...
If you're looking for highway cruising, go FN. 3000 rpm at 75mph, approx. Let's
see, I know it's right around 2000 at 50mph, so yeah that's about right...
that's why my Scirocco gets 37 mpg... that tranny is good for long distance!
I think that the FF is also good in this respect, but I've never had one. I
believe you can also put A2 (Golf, Jetta) wide-ratios in our A1's, but they're
usually more expensive.
