Bad Heating Coil and or hoses?

Anyone have any advice or suggestions on leaking heater coil and/or
heater coil hoses.  I have a slight odor of antifreeze fluid inside the
car.  What should I check first?  What should I check next?  What should
I be prepared to replace?  How difficult is it to do that?  Thanks.
