Re: Wheels vs.power/ big vs small

I like the 19" rims on my Scirocco.

Seriously though - there were no affordable tires available in 17" during
the bulk of the Sciroccos production run.

Some of us poor SOBs (like myself) now cannot afford the premium $$$ it
takes for 45 and 40 series rubber :(

Anyone got a set of 12X4 rims: I wanna go 145/90-12 - the optimum set up
- whitewalls preferably.

Owen,
Your Rocco with the 17 inch OZ wheels is by far the best looking set-up
I've seen. This car actually looks respectable. Makes me wonder why it
didn't come stock with em. Anyway what if anything did you have to do to
fit them? Is your car lowered? Any rubbing ever? As much as I love big
wheels doubt I'll be able to afford 17 inch...motor comes first!! But
man...I can dream, or drool. Whatever.
