hey, that really sucks man.
But, on the bright side, I had this nearly identical
situation. Fight the reckless driving, that's a tough
thing to prove. What he should have ticketed you
for is "exhibition of speed". Normally, if you fight
something as vague as this, the cop won't come in
to try to prove it. Either he comes in when you plead
innocent, or it will get dropped.
If it makes you feel any better, I got a ticket last year
for "speed contest" (racing). The ticket cost me
$1,100!!!!!
They tried to get me for suspended license (it was),
no seatbelt (that's right too), and no insurance (ok, ok I suck).
I fought the speed contest, and they offered to drop
everything else except the speed contest.
Needless to say, I took their offer.
