Wiley,Victor,
My Mono wiper was made from the orginal 2 wipe mechanism.I
am not sure how its done, but I know theres a bit of cutting and welding. The
advantages of doing it this way is that you can set your stop at anywhere
in the range and also set the swing (ie side to side) for how far you want
it.Over here in the UK you are talking about paying 130 gbpounds (200 bucks)
for the mono kit.
I have had no problems what so ever with my mono wipe conversion made from
the original dual wipe motor/linkage!!
My conversion cost a 3 year old 12" infinity sub!!My friend
fitted it for me,but would not tell me how its done (it's a well kept secret
due to him charging other people around 60 pounds to get it done).I'll ask
him again, telling him its for this list and hopefully I can get something
out of him.I will advise!!!By the way I filled the hole by leaving in the
original rubber washer (this is sealed)and simply used one of the bulk head/
fire wall sized gromets (the gromet was around where the hood catch goes
through the bulk head into the passenger side on UK models.I just went to
my local dealer and ordered a new one in that size) and a little super glue
to fill in the rest of the hole.

I'm looking to do the same monowiper install (waiting for the
new motor/linkage to arrive from the UK), and here's what I've
heard/figured out so far.
The single wiper will mount in the passenger hole, which on my
car, is dead center. The second driver's side hole can be filled with
(as I'm planning on) a mountain bike handlebar end plug. :) Those can
be cut to size, and painted. I'm sure you can even find a gray one if
you look hard enough.
FYI: From looking at a dual-wiper linkage I had sitting around,
I think I see how you'd have to modify it to run a single wiper, but it
would require some metal fabrication, and wouldn't work as well as a
real monowiper setup. Let me know if you want my ideas on that.
We've got some good yards up here in MA. If a grey fender shows
up, I'll snag it for you. BTW, for anyone else interested, there's a
real nice Black wolfsburg sitting in the yard. Anyone need any parts?
It's missing the rear seat, and the driver seat isn't great, but it HAD
the passenger seat last weekend. I removed the rear light assemblies,
and someone had taken the stereo out. NICE body panels, and some decent
engine stuff left. Anyone interested?
